Welcome to our home.

In a day with us, you’ll get to create cuisine inspired by the wealth of cultures in the state of Oaxaca. We’ll begin in the verdant courtyard, where Chef Miguel will guide you through the history and traditions of ancestral Oaxacan cooking. We’ll then visit the garden to sample the diversity of local herbs and vegetables used in our dishes. From there, we’ll go on an outing to the local market and mill to gather and prepare key ingredients used in our dishes, which include moles, salsas, soups, and dessert. We hope you’ll join us for a day of rich gastronomy.

Meet our furry friends that you’ll find roaming the courtyard:
Leah, Nala, Circe, Max, Cookie, Lula, & Capone.

The kitchen

This is the heart of our home. The kitchen is where recipes are shared and meals are prepared. Here, food connects us to Oaxacan culture and nourishes our spirit.

Get to know the garden

We plant a variety of fruits and vegetables year-round to provide the core ingredients in our cooking classes. Depending on the season, you’ll find ripe tomatoes, pumpkin, squash, fennel, cilantro, and of course a wide selection of chiles. In addition to our plot of native corn that’s ready for picking in the fall, come sample the unique, savory herb chepiche and the minty cedrón .
